Just to say...hello!

Hiya Crafty friends,

Welcome to my DT day with Clare Curd Crafts!

As you have probably noticed by now, I love my Silhouette Cameo and make nearly everything on it now. And today's card is no exception, using some gorgeous supplies from Clare's online store.

Step 1.
I cut a card shape out, with a rounded corner

Step 2.
I then cut two layers that were the same shape of the card. The first layer was reduced by 2cm from the side of the card and the second layer was reduced by 1cm. I also cut out the word 'Hello' on each layer. Making sure they lined up correctly.

Step 3.
I placed some double sided on the top layer and making sure the 'Hello' is lined up, I stuck them together.

 Step 4.
I applied some glue underneath the loose areas

Step 5.
These layers were then stuck to the centre of the card

 Step 6.
I made sure I kept the centres of some of the letters, which I glued onto the corresponding areas

Step 7.
I added some small cut out flowers randomly around the sentiment

 Step 8.
I then took a small flower stamp from the stamp set and a Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and stamped each of the cut outs

Step 9.
I wasn't sure what font I want to us, or would fit correctly, so I cut a few out...
and decided this one looked the best.

Step 10.
Glaze was added to the flowers to give some dimension

 Step 11.
I felt at this point that the sentiments were not standing out enough, so I used my alcohol pens to enhance it more. I used Promarkers as they are the pens I own, but Clare has a fabulous range of Spectrum Noirs pens that will do the exact same thing. The 'Just to say' was coloured in a darker colour

and the 'Hello' was coloured with a lighter colour

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you having time next Wednesday to pop over and have a peek at my next DT project...see you then.
