A place for everything, and everything in it's place... (Creativity Club Prompt #12)

Creativity Club Prompt #12

"I know I mentioned them in yesterdays blog post but blog today about your storage solutions for both outside and inside. Are you a gardener? Tell me more about life with green fingers. Are you mega organised in the house? Tell me about it."

Hiya crafty friends.

Here I am again with the Creativity Club Blog Prompt event. Just a quick post today :)

As a crafter storage is a BIG thing, but to tell you the truth, I am not the most organised person but I do try with my craft stash. But with not having a dedicated craft room just yet, it's kind of hard. So am am going to show you my tip on how I keep my ribbons organised.

I've use an A4 lidded box, I got on sale at the supermarket, which I sectioned off to make five long compartments.

I found these little zip-lock bags on ebay, where you got LOADS to not to much money (just what I like) so they were perfect. I then wrapped the ribbon around pieces if card that fit in the bags, which I then organised into colours so they could be found easily.

Placing them into the bags is also great as it protects the ribbon and keeps it dust free.

It took a little time to do this in the beginning, but I am so glad I did it now as it make working with ribbon so much easier.

What tips do you have with craft storage, as I need all the help I can get :)

  4. ooh - I love ribbon!
I have it in colour coded clear boxes from Ikea.
Ikea is a fab place for lots of quirky storage ideas at a very reasonable price.
And I am lucky enough to live right beside Ikea Edinburgh!
Love seeing what you have done with the ribbon x

  5. Hi Debbie, I have A4 deep boxes full of my ribbon in colours too. For my buttons I have them stored in 4 x 2½ in plastic boxes which are clear and stack up nicely on my shelf and you can see the colour of the buttons.

    Thank you for sharing.
    Hugs
