Advent Calender Workshop...

Hiya Crafters,

Well, I promised I'd tell you all about the workshop I went to last Sunday.

Firstly, I have to say what a fantastic time I had! All I knew was that it was an Advent Calender workshop and that was about it. When I saw what we were making I was over the moon. Totally up my street :) Shirley was fantastic and went through it step by step and made it sooooo easy to understand (but it did take 6 1/2 hours to make, but I enjoyed every minute of it.) :D Everything was totally made from scratch, from the covering of the card for the layers, the stamping and glossing of the numbers, making each drawer and there each individual sleeve & handles and the large hinged box at the top. And obviously the construction and decorating of the end product. Which is why it took so long, but I definitely think it was worth it...if I do say so myself :) Ha! Ha!

All the little tips I was told along the way, were very invaluable too. I learn't so much.

The handles were made from a Stampin' Up punch

I think the pattern paper was from Papermania and the card is Stampin' up

Note that there are no chocolates in the drawers (with were supplied at the workshop), but it not my fault, I gave them my brother so I've been a very good girl :)...well sort of. I did have the large one from the box on the top...yum! :P

The holly leaves were cut from the patterned paper I used to cover the top of the box. Which I decoupaged and the 25th December stamp is from Stampin' Up

The buttons and the tiny brad are from Stampin' Up

Well, there you go. My little pride and joy at the moment :) I have another workshop on Tuesday which will be Christmas Decorations...WooHoo! Can't wait!! Will fill you in when I get back from it.

Happy Crafting xxx
