Tattered Lace August Challenge - Decadence

Hiya craft friends,

It's time for another fantastic Tattered Lace Challenge with the fabulous theme of Decadence. So why not join us over at the challenge blog and be in with a chance winning a Tattered Lace prize! What a fabulous excuse to go all out, which is exactly what I did and loved every minute.And what can be more decadent than a masquerade ball.

Step by step

1.       Cover a mask with wide lace using a tacky glue

2.       Using gold card cut a Venetian Border (http://www.crafting.co.uk/index.php/tattered-lace-dies-venetian-border-accent.html ) and adhere above the eyes on the mask and apply some flat back pearls underneath

3.       Cut a Derwent Border from gold card and apply to the back of the mask overlapping the top. Cut the accent  from the Venetian Border (http://www.crafting.co.uk/index.php/tattered-lace-dies-venetian-border-accent.html) from gold card and snip away the flower from the centre and adhere to the centre of the Derwent Border at the top of the mask.

4.       Again using gold card, cut a Venetian Fern (http://www.crafting.co.uk/index.php/tattered-lace-dies-venetian-fern.html ). Snip the flowers from each side and place to the corner of the mask. Cut the accent  from the Venetian Border (http://www.crafting.co.uk/index.php/tattered-lace-dies-venetian-border-accent.html) from blue glitter card and place at the bottom of the flowers and apply a large gem in the centre.

5.       Cut the centre of the Venetian fern that was left over from step 4 in half and add to both corners of the mask.

6.       Cut various length of ribbon and attach to both sides of the mask.

Tattered Lace Chalenge - Elegance

The fabulous Tattered Lace challenge is here again and this month it is all about Elegance

To m you csn't get more elegant than the Tattered Lace Dies, so I wante stageed them to take centre stage. 

With more than a huge dollop of inspiration from my favourite crafter of all time Becca

The basket was made with two different corners dies,  Studley Corner and Hardwick Corner and the handle was made using the Studley Border

When it come to elegance I always feel less is more so I didn't add too much just some pearls and a satin ribbon bow and ribbon rose.

Tattered Lace Challenge - One for the guys

Hiya crafty friends,

It is time for the fabulous Tattered Lace Challenge and this month is 'One for the guys'. So why not pop over to the the challenge blog and have a go, as always there is a great prize!

 My project for this month is a Father's Day card. I used one of the sentiments from the Lavish Blooms Cherished Centres to inlay into the tag. The circle embellishment is from the same set too.

I  used one of my favourite borders from the Beloved Border set. It's great that it is a continuous border so you can make it as long as you need...fabulous!

  Being a member of the Tattered Lace design team I was really lucky to be able to play...ahem...I mean work with ;) the brand new Tattered Lace Mini Die Starter kit and I love the little buttons. I cut four of each and layered them on top of each other that gives them some thickness to make them look like a real button.

Tattered Lace Challenge - Romance and Roses

Hiya crafty friends,

Wow! The time has gone by so fast, and here we are at our second Tattered Lace Challenge. But before we get to that there is the little matter of the blog candy winner, who will win a set of Tattered Lace Lavish Blooms dies generously given by the lovely people at Tattered Lace.

So I am very pleased to announce that the winner is

Now onto this months challenge, which is all about 'Romance and Roses' and I have made a flower heart wreath.

To make the roses I used the Lavish Blooms Poppy die using a combination of card and crepe paper

 

 

I made the little white frilled flowers by rolling the fringe from the Mini Blooms die set

 

And the leaves were made using the utterly fabulous Lavish Bloom Leaves dies. Again I used card and crepe paper. There is so many variations of leaves in this one set, and if like me you like to make paper flowers this is a must have!

 

The 'ribbon, was made using the Beloved Boarders die

 

I added a little detail by adding some of the leave cut from the Rambling Rose die that was free with issue 5 of the Tattered Lace magazine.

Tattered Lace challenge and blog candy!

I have some incredibility exciting news to share with you all...I have been asked to join the brand new Tattered Lace Challenge Design team! My first challenge card is all about the Gorgeous Lavish Blooms die collection

The flower was made with the Lavish Blooms Poppy die using a combination of pink card which I edged with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, and also pink tissue paper. The centre of the flower was made using two of the dies from Lavish Blooms Stamen Set

The sentiment was made using the fantastic Cherished Centres, which I embellished with two petals I cut from the Lavish Blooms Aster die.

I absolutely love the Lavish Blooms Leaves set and I added them around the flower. To make the boarder I made use of the 'waste' from cutting the Lavish Blooms Stamen for the centre of the flower.

To made the buds I cut three petals from Lavish Blooms Lily die and added to the bottom a section of a fern leaf that I had cut away from the large leaf. I also used two skeleton leaves from the Lavish Blooms Leaves set.
