Piece of me

Hiya crafty friends

The weeks are going by so fast and here we are ready for the Polkadoodle Digi Choosday Challenge, where as always there will be a great offer too. So make sure you pop over and have a look see.

I really enjoyed making this weeks Paper Piece theme project, which is a large A4 Get Well Soon card.

I used Emma Canning's Rainy Days digi, which I have to say is one of my faves, and went mad and totally paper pieced her. She does like her spots, doesn't she...lol :)

The background was taken from the Hoots Tree collection, which I though work perfectly with the feel of the card. The cloud was made using a striped paper from the Dollie Daydream Girl Talk and I used my Silhouette software to allow my sentiment to follow the shape of the cloud.

I also added a little Glossy Accent to the rain drops to give them a water effect. They were also made using the Dollie Daydream Girl Talk collection.

I used a combination of papers to paper piece the figure, which were the Christmas Joy and Dollie Daydream Girl Talk collections.

Thanks for popping by

Flower Power

Hiya crafty friends,

I have to say one of my favourite things to do in crafting is to make paper flowers, so was over the moon when I saw this weeks theme, Flower Power, for this weeks Digi Choosday challenge and fabulous offer.

I have made a card and matching gift box set.

The image I used for the card is the Dollie Daydream Bouquet digi, and all the papers used where taken from the Dollie Daydream Girl Talk Collection.

The lovely Dollie Daydream

I also sponged the edges of some of the flower on the gift box and the smaller flowers on the card with Victorian Velvet distress ink...

and adding a bit of sparkle with some tiny gems.

Polkadoodle paper piecing

Hiya craft friends,
"I live in organised chaos and I am fine with that"
This year I made a new years resolution that I would try to be more organised, so with this in mind I dug out an old ring binder that I had in my cupboard and made a folder planner but the cover was bland and dull and was just screaming out to be Polkadoodled! :)

I absolutely love this Sleepy Head digi, which is also available from our esty store.

Now I don't know if I am mad, but I decided to paper piece the whole image, including the hair!!!

I coloured the skin, with my Promarkers. I added my trusty tiny flat back pearls to the centre of each roller and eye mask.

The collections I used for the paper piecing  were a mixture of Boys Hoot, Christmas Joy and Tail Feather. The lovely flower backing was from the Boys Hoot collection too.

I added a bit of depth by using my Ice grey 1 Promarker to add some shadow on the paper piecing

Fingers crossed I will be more organised now ;)

Polkadoodle - Digi Choosday - All about crafts!

Hiya crafty friends,

You know what day it is today...it's Polkadoodle Digi Choosday

And it's 'All about crafts' today, so today I have made a start of my long overdue organisation of my crafty stash . Inspired by the Emma Canning 'Colour Me Happy' digi stamp I have made a Promarker organiser.

To decorate I used papers from the 'Christmas Joy' bundle, which show how this set can be used all year round not just for Christmas. I know us crafters like to get our moneys worth, don't we ;)

And talking of 'money's worth', there will be another great offer along side the challenge, so why not pop over now and have a look see :)

See you again next Choosday x

Autumn Time!

Hiya crafty friends,

I really enjoyed making this weeks Polkadoodles Digi Choosday project. I love Autumn, it's my favourite season. I love all the changing colours it brings.

So you may have guessed already what this weeks theme is:

Autumn Colours

My DT project for this week is an Autumn wreath, which I made with the incredibley versatile Boys Hoot Bundle, as the colours were perfect.

Don't you just love Mr Owly? He's such a cutie sitting there welcoming everyone :)

I added some glossy accent to the berries to make them a little more 3D and shiny.

Hope to see you over on the challenge blog
