Planning with Docrafts Digital Designer - Part 2 - The card

Hiya crafty friends,

If you remember my last post, Planning with Docrafts Digital Designer, you would have seen my plans for this card.
I'm really pleased how it came out and it came out pretty much as I planned. The only thing I tweaked slightly was the 'ribbon' that goes across centre, which a shortened slightly

Planning with Docrafts Digital Designer...

Hiya crafty friends,

Hope everyone has had a fabulous Christmas and Boxing day.  I have been playing with the new Creativity Club download, that came out on Christmas eve, on the Docrafts Digital  Designer.

I decided to do something I've never thought of doing before. Design a card digitally, then I will make the physical card.

So, for starters, here is the digital plan for my card. Come back in a couple of day to see my made card

Happy New Year...in December!!! :)

Hiya crafty friends,

Well, I've not been very organised this Christmas, which is very unlike me. But now that I've got a little free time (and little is the word...lol) I thought I'd give myself a head start.

I want to try to do a bit more Digital scrapbooking next year, so I thought I'd make a start on my New Years Day page. I loved using the new Creativity Club download, which is out on Monday, with the free Docrafts Digital Designer.

I also used elements from the Me to you - Especially For You cd-rom (I loveTatty Teddy)

All I have to do now is add my photos

Lets hope I am this organised with my plan to scrapbook next year :)

We wish you a Fairy Christmas (Meljen Designs)

Hiya crafty friends,

With all the running about that we all do at this time of year, it is nice to take a little time to yourself and do something relaxing.

Well, one of the things that relaxes me is colouring with my Promarkers. I had been dying to colour these little cuties from Meljens Designs. Who have kindly sponsored our December challenge, over on the Challenge Blog.

I really enjoyed colouring these, and I will definitely be popping over to buy one or two more :)

On the first day of Christmas...

Hiya crafty friends,

Well, this year has gone soooooo quick, too quick. I can't believe it is nearly Christmas already.
This year I had a go at making my own hanging pocket advent calender.

It is amazing what you can do with some cardboard boxes, toilet rolls and some wrapping paper. I really had my own little Blue Peter moment...lol!

What I was most pleased about was that the fabulous Creativity Club timed their free advent numbers download just right for me, which was perfect as I was wondering how I would do my numbers :)

Red and gold always feel really Christmassy to me, and I aged the scalloped number circles with Tea Dye distress ink to go with the gold card I had used.

I embellished the pockets with antique gold card die cut, which was embossed with me favourite snowflake embossing folder. Which was free in a magazine :)

Red and gold ribbon was then used the connect the two pieces together and also a length to hang the calender from.

Creativity Club gets even better!!!

Hiya crafty friends

I was so excited to learn this week that we can do even more with our free Creativity Club downloads now!! The people at Docrafts have now made is possible to use the Club downloads you get free, as part of your membership, with the fantastic Docraft Digital Designer. This opens up the door to so many more things you can do now :)

And it is so easy too. All you have to do is click this button...

...and got to the jpeg file for the download you want to use (not the PDF file) and hey presto you can play away :)

And talking of the downloads. I was so happy when this weeks download was released. It was just what I need!!!

I am in the middle of making a Advent calender at my craft group and was wondering how I was going to do the number and then as luck would have it, that was just what the new download was. How luck was that!!!!It's not finished yet, but here's a little teaser of my Advent until my full blog post about it and the fantastic download, which is going to be soooooo useful to me. So if you have the time to pop back here next week, you will see the finished project, Well I hope so...lol! Hmmmm, will have to decided what choccies to put in it too...nom! nom! :)

Child of the 80's

Hiya crafty friends,

The 1980's, the decade some people say that "Fashion forgot", but as a child of the 80's myself it holds a lot of memories for me. Admittedly, some I'd prefer to forget, but lots I wouldn't...
Grolsh top shoes. Ah, the memories :)

My first time on a plane
Family Christmas parties
The music
And talking of music...the 80's also gave me my first major crush. I was a big Bros fan (yes I was a Brosette, ripped jean, Grolsh tops on my shoes an all) and I was TOTALLY in love with the lead singer...lol :)

So it was very nostalgic to work with the new Creativity Club download. It really did take me back.

I thought I'd do something a little different with it and made a petal gift box. And I'm sure it would be great t use for anybody you are giving a gift to, who grew up in the 80's too.

I printed both sides of the card, before I cut the box out, so the box also had an illustrated inner too
