In the pink!

Hiya crafty friends,

This weeks Polkadoodles Challenge I have gone all girly with our 'In the pink' theme.

I made my scalloped circle card using the wonderful Dollie Daydream - Girl Talk cd. This cd is packed full of goodies! Including the fantastic flowers you can cut out and make, tons of backing papers, digi stamps to colour and embellishments etc. And of course, how could we forget Dollie herself, looks very pretty in her pink dress on my card :)

So why not joins us over at the challenge, and always there will be a special offer too...yay!! See you over there :)

Everyday holds the possibility of a miracle

Hiya crafty friends,

Phew! Where did the week go?

Well, I'm sat here writing this post, blurry eyed and looking at the clock, which says 3 minutes past midnight. And looking very similar to this owl...lol!

This is a great quote from the IndigoBlu Wild Meadow stamps set. Which I find quite inspiring. I used it as the main focal point of the card, as it is perfect to give a friend or loved one to show your support.

I LOVE this paisley embossing folder (and even better it is A4 size!!!), which I used on some patterned paper from the 'My Minds EYE Vintage Christmas' 6x6 pad. Which I then lightly sanded to give an aged look. The strips of paper are from the same pad and are off cuts from a project I made at Christmas (we crafters don't like to throw anything away, do we).

Clare Curds Crafts has an amazing array of ribbon. And this red satin ribbon is gorgeous!!
The stickers used are from the 'My Minds EYE Vintage Christmas' 12x12 sticker sheet. It's great when you can use Christmas stash at other times of the year too.

You know me...I have to add a tiny gem or pearl somewhere :)

I'm really pleased how the sanding of the embossed areas turned out on this paper.

For the final layer, I used the same embossing folder to emboss some pearlised paper.

As always, thanks for popping by and see you next week

Watercolour Roses with Distress Ink

Hiya crafty friends,

I love distress ink. They are so versatile.

For this project I have used a few different techniques with the inks...'watercolour stamping' (which I will be doing a tutorial on soon), stenciling and painting with distress inks.

The centre image was created using a combination of stencilling and painting with Spun Suger and Victorian Velvet Distress Ink

And the outer boarder was made by using the watercolour stamping technique.

Clare Curd Crafts has such an array of ribbons to choose from. I choose this ribbon for it gorgeous subtle colour, that didn't take away too much from the rest of the card

For the boys

Hiya crafty friends,

I don't know about you, but I always find it a bit of a struggle to do cards for the male of the species...lol. But I have to admit the idea of this card for this weeks Polkadoodles 'For the boys' challenge came to me quite quickly...yay!

Psssst! Remember the fantastic offer that always accompanies the challenge too :)

My waistcoat card was made using the 'Boys Hoot Download Bundle' and the buttons I used were from the 'Tail Feather Download Bundle'.

Thank You

Hiya Crafty Friends,

Every year I promise myself that I will hand make my thank you card and every year I never get time. So I was determined to this year.

I cut out the pieces using my Silhouette Cameo using three sheets from the Cosmic Cricket Tea For Tea 6x6 paper pad and I also cut a 6x6 piece of white card and laid them out on the cutting mat as below.

and then I placed them out in the correct position on the software. I was able to cut enough embellishments for four card from one of each of the three patterned papers.

And here's how the pieces looked when I they were cut out

Here's how it was put together.

And thank you to everyone who visited my blog this year. I wish I could you give each and everyone of you this card.
