Crafting Cafe Blog Hop - Lets Celebrate

Hiya crafty friends,

Today I am excited to welcome you to my 2nd Crafting Cafe blog hop. The Crafting Cafe is a fantastic and friendly group of crafters on Facebook, who share their crafting passion with each other....why not pop over and join us.

If you have started from the beginning of the hop you will have found me through Amanda. If you found this hop by accident ...

To start at the beginning of the hop, which wil enable you tosee the beautiful creations from everyone, pop on over and start at Nikki's blog

The theme for our blog hop is

Celebration

...which is quite well timed for me as it's my dad's birthday, my birthday and my mums birthday all with two weeks of each other.

This is the card that I have made

I absolutely LOVE Lili Of The Valley. I just wish I had more in my collection. Every time I went to my local Craft Fair, it was one of the first stalls I went to and ended up standing there for ages because I was spoilt for choice and didn't know which ones to get...lol! Unfortunately, they don't do my local craft fair anymore :(

I coloured the image with my Promarkers...

...and used some 3D glaze on the balloon to add some dimension and shine.

Thank you for hopping over to see me, now it's time to hop on over to the next blog. Next on the list is........ Andree.

Happy hopping!

Ahoy there again Matey!!!

Ahoy there Crafty Friends,

A very quick post today, had such a 'busy' week...

This weeks Creativity Club download is part 2 of the Ahoy there! collection and I have had fun playing with it on my digital scrapbooking software.

I know I am very very early for a Father's Day card, but I thought the sentiment I had went perfect with this collection, and what's more I'm now super organised for Father's Day...lol :)

Happy St George's Day

Hiya crfty friends,

Happy St Georges Day!

I really am loving my colouring at the moment. I hadn't done it for a little while, but now I am colouring everything in sight...lol :) I find it really relaxing. And there are so many fantastic Digi stamps out there that are such a pleasure to colour. I am going to try and fit in more colouring, and you never know, I may do one or two videos for the blog (I'm no expert colourer, but I'll just show you how I do it).

Let me know if you would like me to do a video or two :)

One of my favourites is Mo's Digital Pencil. The images are amazing!! I really could bankrupt myself at this shop...lol :) The one I have used here is 'Dragon Hugs', which I thought was perfect for today, which is St Georges Day here in England.

I tend to build my colours up, that's why there are so many colours in the list below. I know there are others who only use a minimal palette, which I do on occasions. I plan to be minimal but end up layering again...lol!

What  also like to do now is, when the image is finished, using a light grey (I used a Blue Grey 1 Flexmarker for this image) and add shadow to darkest areas. I find it gives the image some depth.

If you have any requests for a video, why not pop a comment below . But like I said, I am no expert, just a hobbiest but I will do my very best to help if I can.

Thanks, as always for visiting my blog

Ahoy there, crafters!!

Hiya crafty friends,

I have set sail for Creativity Club download, which I am sure you have guessed is all things nautical this week.

I love this set, as being a fellow crafter, know all too well how hard it is to make cards for the men in our lives (why is that???). But this collection is perfect for the fishermen, sailors, or someone who just enjoys the beach. It's a very clean and fresh feeling collection.

This week I have made a card with my download, totally made with the download papers. All that was added was the card blank and a bit of twine. So half of the work is done for you by the lovely people at the Creativity Club.

I love how there are loads of embellishment on the papers where you can pick from and cut out, as well as using it as a whole as backing paper.

I add a bit of twine to add to the nautical feel

Oh and...Ahoy there crafty friend! :)

Excited to share all my news with you!!!!

Hiya crafty friends,

It's been a very busy few weeks for me, and not only being asked to do a second term on the Docrafts Creativity Club design team, some more new opportunities are coming my way, which I am really excited about. And I am now finally able to share all my news with you all.

Firstly I am sooooooo pleased to announce that I am now a member of the Shernocky Crafts design team. I am super excited to get started and playing with all the fantastic products they sell. They are "based on the ground floor at the Traders Outlet on The Downs in Altrincham, Cheshire. Shernocky Crafts is a craft shop, specialising in vintage papercraft. There stock is specially selected from the best vintage suppliers, including Graphic 45, Kaisercraft, Indigo Blu, Hampton Art, CoreDinations, Crafter’s Companion & Ranger."

My second piece of news is from mid-April I will be  co-facilitating a weekly Women's arts and crafts session at my local Well-being centre. It is such a fantastic centre run by the fabulous charity Blue Sci. I am really excited to be involved and see all the projects the members make.

News number three is, I entered a colouring competition over at the Stamping Chef  where we were asked to colour the Culinary Claire image

and the winning image would be included in the business logo, and I can't believe it but...

I WON!!!!!
And I now have the honour of having my coloured image on their webpage and facebook group

And finally, I was so excited to see my Notelet Case was shown on Docrafts Creativity Club TV yesterday. And I have to say I did do a little jig...lol :) Thank you Emma and Katy for sharing my work :) And shhhhhh...one of my other projects is on the shelving in the back too :)

I love working on the Creativity Club design team, and I'm so happy I was asked to stay on for another six months and carrying on my Creativity Friday blog post every week.

Creativity Club Friday - Has Spring finally blossomed? :)

Hiya crafty friends,

I don't know about you, but I'm still waiting to Spring to start? I've still got my winter woolie out :O

Anyway, if you are waiting too, this weeks download from Docrafts Creativity Club should get you in the Spring mood.

I choose some bright and cheery papers from the collection this week, to make my project...

...and used a technique I learnt whilst I was doing the Online Card Classes - Patern Play, and made my own sheet of patchwork style paper. It's such a simple, but effective way to use your pattern papers.

I then used a scalloped heart dies, to make these cute 3D patchwork hearts. I love how dimensional they are!

I have a couple of ideas what I want to do with them, but you will have to keep you eyes peeled for them next week...ooooowww, I am a tease, aren't I :) Lets hope Spring finally arrives by then :)

Promarker love with Visible Image

Hiya crafting friends,

Happy Easter Monday! I hope you are all having a lovely long weekend, and I hope you've not got a stomach ache from too much chocolate :)
Well, as it's the first of the month the new challenge goes live over on our challenge blog today, which is sponsored by the fabulous Visible Image . And all our design team have been playing with their fantastic stamps.

I have been getting back into my Promarker colouring lately, and really enjoying it. I don't know about you, but I still struggle colouring 'black'. So as a personal challenge I decided to Edgar in a gothic colour theme, and this is where the grey markers really come into there own. I still feel I need a bit more practice, but I am quite pleased with the end result, seen as though it's a colour palette I struggle with..

Do you love Promarkers? If you have any tips and trick, do please leave a comment as I love learning new techniques with these pens :)
